![]() Is there a way we can do it ourselves? Is Apple working on this bug for all users? I don't really want to chat with them over this again. I already spent half an hour with Apple chat support over this. In any case, the solution seems to be that we haggle with Apple Support to reset the server. As I mentioned, other triggers, such as migration to new device, are also causing this issue. The incident may have started after the El Capitan 10.11.5 update a month or so back. But after I migrated my stuff from Time machine into this mac after repair, this error started appearing. For me, my macbook died due to some login board failure, and I got it repaired by Apple. ![]() The basic problem seems to be that certain "incidents" are triggering some bug in the iMessage/Facetime server run by Apple, so that we cannot activate or log into these services any more. The most informative discussion that I found was this: Activation of iMessage and Facetime failed on El Capitan after Update. ![]() Some search on google and this forum showed me that I am not alone in this problem. For the last 2 weeks, I am unable to login to Facetime or iMessage from my macbook. ![]()
